Gr1 Industrial Pure
Titanium Wire
The highest-purity, most ductile, and best-welding commercially pure titanium wire. Ti content ≥99.5%, strictly controlled impurities, consistent batch-to-batch quality — engineered for high-cleanliness, high-corrosion-resistance, and precision-forming applications.
Product Overview
Gr1 Industrial Pure Titanium Wire (ASTM Grade 1 / UNS R50250 / TA1) is the highest-purity commercially pure titanium wire available. With titanium content ≥99.5% and rigorously controlled interstitial elements, it offers the best combination of ductility, formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance among all commercially pure titanium grades.
The single-phase α structure ensures outstanding workability — easy bending, coiling, drawing, and welding without cracking. It is the preferred choice wherever cleanliness, biocompatibility, or extreme corrosion environments are critical.
Grade 1 vs. other grades: Grade 1 provides the lowest oxygen content (≤0.18%) and highest elongation (≥24% annealed) of any commercially pure titanium — ideal for ultra-fine drawing, medical implants, and high-ductility forming. For higher strength requirements, see our Gr2, Gr4, or Ti-6Al-4V wire.

Product Features and Advantages
Highest Purity Grade
Ti ≥ 99.5% with the lowest impurity specification among commercially pure titanium grades — delivers stable, clean performance in demanding applications.
Superior Ductility
Elongation ≥ 24% (annealed) — bends, coils, and forms without cracking. Ideal for ultra-fine wire drawing down to φ0.1 mm.
Outstanding Corrosion Resistance
Outperforms 316L stainless steel in seawater, salt spray, and most acidic environments. Self-healing TiO₂ passivation layer for long-term protection.
Biocompatible and Medical-Grade
Non-toxic, non-allergenic, and non-sensitizing. Compliant with ISO 5832-2 and ASTM F67 for surgical implants and dental applications.
Non-Magnetic
Weakly paramagnetic — MRI-compatible, suitable for electromagnetic shielding, sensor leads, and precision instrument components.
Wide Operating Temperature
Reliable from −253 °C (liquid hydrogen and oxygen environments) to 300 °C continuous service — zero embrittlement at cryogenic temperatures.
Precision Dimensions
Tolerance ±0.02 mm, straightness ≤2/1,000, ovality ≤0.2 mm. Fully automated production ensures strong batch-to-batch consistency.
Large Coil — No Intermediate Welds
Single coil weight >100 kg with no splices — ensures uninterrupted wire feed on automated welding and winding lines.
